Alex Duarte
CEO
Alexandre Duarte founded Stone Basyx in 2012 and is CEO. He runs the sourcing operation, scouting the world for all its variety of beautiful stones.
He also leads expansion and growth initiatives for the SB group and subsidiaries. Previously, Alex worked developing new businesses in the contract furniture market in the USA, as well as on sports-related investments in his home country, Brazil.
Claudio DeCastro
COO and Location Manager, Kernersville
Claudio DeCastro has been COO of, and a location manager for, Stone Basyx since 2012. Claudio has 20 years’ experience in international trade, programming and systems analysis in companies like RJ Reynolds, and applies his strong expertise in data-driven, long-term strategic planning to our company’s efforts. Claudio is also an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys cycling in the countryside.
Claudio Borges

Since 2022, Claudio Borges has served as CSO for Stone Basyx. Before working in the USA, Borges led international and product expansion for companies in Brazil, France, and Belgium, enabling these businesses to meet their goals for sales and growth. With a background in engineering, Borges brings cross-functional experience as well as a strong analytical and commercial drive. He enjoys being outside and discovering new places and cultures.
