Branch Manager Washington DC

Stone Basyx is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to oversee branch operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and employee growth in line with company policies, while maximizing profitability.

Purpose:
The manager is tasked with managing operations, logistics, team dynamics, and sales processes to ensure seamless functionality and efficiency across the board.
Duties:
  • Guides daily branch operations.
  • Identifies needs and implements process improvements for company objectives.
  • Oversees wholesale activities to ensure client satisfaction and business expansion.
  • Provides leadership, supervises staff, promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Prepares strategic schedules for branch and company efficiency.
  • Manages supervisory responsibilities: interviewing, hiring, coaching, approving timesheets, managing attendance and overtime, promoting career development, and conducting evaluations.
  • Ensures proper branch opening and closing, security, and physical control.
  • Maintains facility, equipment, supply inventory, controls cash and negotiable items, and completes timely accounting and management reports.
  • Ability to step into action when the branch is short-staffed; drive forklift, move products, take care of homeowners.
  • Efficiently creates invoices and schedules deliveries.
Qualifications:

The candidate possesses strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, fabricators, and team members, coupled with excellent organizational abilities for precise record-keeping and information retrieval. They are adept at navigating deadline-driven environments with multiple priorities through efficient task management. Sales  

Customer Specialist

We are looking for a charismatic person who loves to work with the public, but we like to treat like royalty every customer who walks in our warehouses. Do you have what it takes? Good hours, good salary and great environment!

Purpose:

Supports sales operations by welcoming visitors; preparing sales correspondence; completing special sales projects.

Duties:
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering requirements and information; establishing priorities.
  • Welcomes visitors, potential customers by greeting and referring them to the appropriate person.
  • Helps the customers around the warehouse by giving them the information and assistance they need.
  • Forwards sales information by answering the telephone, receiving faxes; recording and delivering messages.
  • Presents a welcoming environment by keeping reception area net and clean.
  • Provides office supplies and services by maintaining inventory; placing orders;
  • Supports sales operations by maintaining files and forms; obtaining and forwarding information.
  • Completes special sales projects by organizing information and requirements; meeting schedules.

Driver 

CDL CLASS A and B Truck Driver

Do you love driving a truck but hate the nights spent away from home? You might flourish in our open position for a local Truck Driver. We’re looking for a safe, courteous driver who values a predictable schedule. We pay on bi-weekly basis. Class A or B.

Duties:
  • Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered.
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
  • Manage routes and routines, so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
  • Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
  • Help around the warehouse when not busy on the road (unloading containers, moving merchandise around on forklift)
Qualifications:

To drive a CMV in interstate commerce, drivers must comply with the general qualifications outlined in 49 CFR 391.11, including:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Speak and read English satisfactorily to:
  • Converse with the general public;
  • Understand traffic signs and signals;
  • Respond to official questions; and
  • Make legible entries on reports and records.
  • Drive the vehicle safely.
  • Be physically qualified to perform all duties of a driver.
  • Have only one valid commercial motor vehicle operator’s license issued by one State or jurisdiction.
  • Pass a driver’s road test or equivalent.
  • Is not disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the rules in 49 CFR 391.15.

Stone Basyx will require qualifications according to DOT and FMCSA (link)

Warehouse  

Warehouse Worker

We are looking for someone to work with us in the warehouse. We are a Granite Distributor company located in the North and South Carolina.

  • This person needs to be punctual.
  • Friendly environment at work.
  • Teamwork skill is a must.
  • Forklift experience is a plus (we provide training)
  • Indoor and Outdoor warehouses
  • The job consists of move slabs of granites (using forklifts)
  • Prepare orders to be delivered
  • Load / Unload truck. 
  • Unload containers.
Qualifications:

Forklift Experience, Physical fitness, Verbal Communication, People Skills, Professionalism, Self-Confidence, Customer Focus, Multi-Tasking.

Language:

English. Spanish is a plus.

Work from Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm and Saturdays 9am-1pm
